Shino Takeda

Shino Takeda grew up Kyushu Island in southern Japan, which has a rich history of ceramics and art. At the age of 20, she moved to New York City, now living and working in Brooklyn, NY. Each piece of her work is one of a kind. She is always searching for perfect imperfections: tracing memories, and leaving footsteps of her life, making a story that connects the old to the new and herself to others. She strives to make larger, mature-like pieces, which can still hold eccentric child-like feelings.
