Home & Decor Sales Professional

Mociun’s Sales Professional’s must be professional with excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills geared towards driving sales and overall store profitability. In addition, you will be responsible for upholding the company mission by providing excellent product knowledge and dedication towards a positive customer experience. The sales associate’s primary focus is driving sales through delivery and maintenance of Mociun’s company standards.

Additional responsibilities include participation in general inventory management and execution of strategic clientele initiatives, including participating in company training sessions, working store special events and supporting social media based sales. Associates are a part of the life and culture of Mociun Corp and work with our headquarters and Fine staff to contribute to the overall impacts of all company outlets.

This position reports to Assistant General Manager, who in turn reports to the Managing Director.

 

Responsibilities:

Clienteling

● Providing excellent customer service

● Offering a welcoming environment to the client by offering a high standard of customer service

● Willing to build a long- term relationship with the client rather than a “one-shot” sell

● Building a strong client database by gathering all clients' information

● Ensure proper care is taken for all sales, paperwork, receipts and invoices, etc. Assist with shipping requests as needed

● Updating and reviewing customer wants list

● Performs other duties and assignments as required

 

Familiarity with our Home Store vendors

● Familiar with the artists and their collections and investing in product knowledge, including knowing the names and specifications of all products

● Actively participates in all merchandising activities including, but not limited to: daily stock maintenance, product transfers, and folding and floor changeovers

● Working with and giving feedback on products to Buyer and Founder during monthly meetings

● Restocking the store when items are sold and Organizing back stock

 

The Ideal Candidate:

Qualifications

● Luxury retail or high end boutique experience

● A commitment to delivering top notch, personalized customer service

● A love of design/decor and a solid knowledge of contemporary and independent designers within the field

● An awareness and appreciation of the brands and makers Mociun carries

● Excellent organization skills

● Ambition to grow within the Mociun brand

● A working understanding of basic POS software, iphones, social media, etc.

● Especially qualified associates also have experience with clienteling or personal shopping

 

 

Fine Jewelry Sales Professional

Mociun has opened its new headquarters and fine jewelry flagship in the heart of Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Due to continued growth we are currently seeking to appoint a talented Sales Associate with a speciality and background in fine jewelry and the luxury market.

We are looking for a candidate who is passionate about fine jewelry, can build rapport with our clients and have the ability to sell while providing exceptional customer service. You will have relevant industry experience, ideally within luxury fashion and more specifically fine jewelry retail and an in depth knowledge of our products. Candidates will need to be able to demonstrate a passion for our sector of the industry and will keep up to date with the latest trends and evolving marketplace.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Familiarity with our Fine Jewelry

● Attend trainings and further development meetings as scheduled by jewelry manager or first floor manager

● Seek ongoing and continuing education of gemology

● Cultivate new and existing customer relationships.

● Deliver a significant portion of sales through repeat client business.

● Appropriately enter all important guest and product information into computer system at point of sale.

● Perform proper jewelry march (i.e. setting up floor) at opening and closing

● Actively participates in all merchandising activities including, but not limited to: daily stock maintenance, product transfers, and folding and floor changeovers

● Working with and giving feedback on products and sales to Sales Director and Founder during monthly meetings

  

The Ideal Candidate:

Qualifications

● Well-presented, mature, and conscientious person with positive attitude, sense of humor, ability to stay cool under pressure

● An entrepreneurial spirit with strong customer service skills and the ability to work candidly with clientele

● Experience and/or keen interest in gemstones and passion for fine jewelry

● Significant experience in the sale of fine jewelry or retail; Minimum 5 years relevant experience in retail roles  

● Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines        

● Communicative individual with great social competence 

● Team player who thrives in a team where work is a collaborative effort among many        

● Willingness to take on responsibilities outside a defined job scope

● Microsoft Office proficiency and Excel usage/analytical skills are a requirement
