Assistant Store Manager - Mociun Fine

The Assistant Store Manager at Mociun Fine is an important leadership role within the Mociun
organization. The successful applicant will have the opportunity to manage the day to day
running of our iconic Williamsburg jewelry store. This is an opportunity to lead and inspire our
wonderful team of Sales Associates, work with rare and beautiful diamonds and gemstones, and
incredible jewelry. The key focus of the role is to drive sales and profitability results, while
delivering an exceptional experience to our charming clientele.

This position is based out of our Fine Store at 683 Driggs Ave, Brooklyn. This role will work closely
with the head office team, based in our office just behind the store, and will require regular
meetings and collaboration. This position reports to the Assistant General Manager, who in turn
reports to the Managing Director.

Responsibilities:

Leadership

● delegate daily tasks amongst the team to ensure smooth running of the store
● assist in hiring and training new team members
● lead by example, following company policy and procedures
● create a positive, productive and fun environment in the store

Scheduling

● draft monthly schedules by the 15th of the month prior and send to GM for approval
● stay aware of opening hours and days of competitors and advise management of
any required changes

Reporting and Communication

● maintain a clear line of communication with the Management team, reporting on everything from sales results, operational and HR issues
● sending End of Day emails, filling in customer stories, sales numbers, next day’s tasks
● send Store Orders to GM, Production and Founder
● set daily/weekly sales goals and communicate with Sales Associates, reporting
results back to the Management team

Store Oporations

Checking off daily task sheet, delegating these tasks amongst the team to ensure the store looks
wonderful and is running smoothly;
● maintaining cleanliness in the store
● keep all ceramics, surfaces, mirrors, and furniture clear and organized
● keep back office clean and organized
● trash taken out every night
● vases filled with water and flowers groomed
● ensure that the store is looking fresh and beautifully merchandised at all times

Assistant Buying

● enter all PO’s into our POS system
● receive deliveries into POS system
● QC new inventory & communicate any breakages and returns

Safety Protocols

Following Safety Protocols is a crucial part of this role and may include but is not limited to;
● locking safe
● locking up the store
● setting the alarm
● cash management
● staying up to date with Mociun’s security processes and providing training to co-workers

Sales and Customer Experiance

● create a welcoming environment for Mociun’s clients
● build long- term relationships with the client rather than a “one-shot” sell
● building a strong client database by gathering all clients' information and look for ways to
enhance their experience at Mociun and bring them back into our store
● ensure proper care is taken for all sales, paperwork, receipts and invoices, etc.
● assist with shipping requests as needed

The Assistant Store Manager at Mociun Home is an important leadership role within the Mociun
organization. The successful applicant will have the opportunity to manage the day to day
running of our first iconic store in Williamsburg. This is an opportunity to lead and inspire our
wonderful team of Sales Associates, and work with a dreamy list of artisans and makers from all
over the world. The key focus of the role is to drive sales and profitability results, while delivering
an exceptional experience to our charming clientele.

This position is based out of our Home Store at 224 Wythe Ave, Brooklyn. This role will work
closely with the head office team and will require regular meetings at our office, located at 683
Driggs Ave, approximately 10 minutes from the Home Store. This position reports to Assistant
General Manager, who in turn reports to the Managing Director.

The Ideal Candidate

Qualifications:

● luxury retail, high end boutique or gallery experience - 3 years min
● good computer & program literacy
● experience with different types of POS systems
● working understanding of iphones, social media, e-mails etc.

● willingness to familiar yourself with the artists and investing in product knowledge
